O’s Notes: John Chin plays piano and leads a Neobop trio with bassist Orlando Le Fleming and drummer Dan Reiser. He intersperses a few originals in the 8-song program. There are some unique arrangements of classics like “Caravan”, “Smile” along with our favorite, Wayne Shorter’s “Fall”. John is a fresh voice on the jazz scene that will undoubtedly resurface with more provocative thoughts.
