O’s Notes: Pianist Lisa Hilton performs seven originals plus a cover of Bill Evans’ “B Minor Waltz”. The program ranges from bop to ballads showing her versatility. Hilton employs proven talent with Nasheet Waits (d), Larry Grenadier (b) and J. D. Allen (sax). They do an excellent job of supporting her without stealing the spotlight. We enjoyed the bubbly spirit of “Come & Go” and the extended take on “Someday, Somehow. Soon”.
