O’s Notes: Pianist, producer and composer Luis Perdomo leads a fine trio with bassist Drew Gress and legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette. The Venezuelan pianist is on top of his game and pulls the team into a rousing set of eleven bluesy bebop tunes. There is ample space for solos and these guys are up to the task making this an enjoyable set. Perdomo is a soft-spoken man but he speaks out here evolving into one of the most formidable pianists on the jazz scene.
