O’s Notes: When the late Oscar Peterson took his place at the piano there was no doubt who was playing. His signature is Unmistakable. The fleeting notes, dynamic phrasing and bouncy spirit made him always a pleasure to listen to. Aside from the excellent performance here, the sound quality is exceptional. This is a Zenph Re-Performance, a software based system that recreates original performances on a live piano. The recreated performance was recorded for this CD. The source material is a young Oscar Peterson in his prime with tons of energy out of both hands. Oscar and his wife selected the program material in the spring of 2007.
