O’s Notes: Lanny blows a warm gutsy baritone sax. He also plays alto sax and flute while leading two ensembles over fourteen selections. Five of the songs were recorded in the 1980s yet they fit into this program well. Drummer Paul Kreibich wrote one tune and bassist Jim Crutcher contributes three songs; the balance is from Lanny. They mix ballads, swingers and mild Latin tunes into an enjoyable experience that will please a wide audience.
