O’s Notes: Donnay’s voice is simple, soft and warm with that southern charm. She is singing in front of Eric Reed (p), Gerald Cannon (b) and Mark Taylor (d) on a dozen songs, a combination of blues, ballads and jazzy classics. They swing on “No Regrets”, bounce on “Put In Where You Want It” and “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying”. It sounds familiar but Roberta puts her stamp on it all. If you dig her voice, you will love the set.
