O’s Notes: Ian is singing her 3rd CD backed by a quintet of Broadway musicians. Keith Hermann (p), Tony Conniff (b), Vinnie Della (sax, fl), Kevin Kuhn (g) and Warren Odze (d) provide a solid backdrop for her bright vocals. The program is varied with the vamp beats of “Beo Mir Bist Du Shon”, the country feel of “Lookin’ For Love” a duet with Hope Mirlis, “Besame Mucho” with true Latin flavors and jazzy tunes like “I Got Rhythm”. It is a nice selection of music on a good performance.
