O’s Notes: Wild Heart is a combination of smooth jazz instrumentals, rock & roll, blues and pop/country western vocals. Abair plays sax and sings as well of several selections. That’s a mixed bag that has split audiences. We liked the instrumentals best notably Mindi’s gutsy lead on “Kiddo’s Revenge” and the cool, funky groove of “Addicted To You”. The bluesy bounce of “I’ll Be Your Home” also resonated with us. We sampled our way to satisfaction with a subset of the whole, a release that is tilted towards rock & roll.
