O’s Notes: Barbara has a warm theatrical voice and she places it in front of the band where you can feel her emotion. She’s singing the music of Harold Arlen, a composer who has inspired her for years, in his music and his romance with his wife. We can hear her level of compassion in the vocals! There are fifteen gems and some strong accompaniment as well, notably John Di Martino (p), John Hart (g) and Tim Quimette (t, flugelhorn).
