O’s Notes: Nancy sings with good spirits, lots of poise and warm tone. She sings and plays piano on a delightful set of twelve standards. Songs like “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and “Look For The Silver Lining” with some cool scatting have new life with her fresh arrangements. Manano’s vocals blend well with the instruments [check out “Bittersweet”] and the Dutch sextet accompanying her is great. This one is top shelf, engaging the listener all the way through.
