O’s Notes: The Nate Najar Trio is bassist Tommy Cecil, Chuck Redd on vibes and drums with Nate playing guitar. Last year we were impressed by the trio’s dedication to Charlie Byrd. This time they are celebrating samba. They invite Harry Allen (sax) and Duduka da Fonseca (d) to join for a couple of selections each. Highlights are “Ligia” with Allen, Once again Nate serves up a winner!
