O’s Notes: Latin keyboardist, composer and producer Ricardo Bacelar assembles a vibrant 8-piece band to perform a live session at the Guaramiranga Jazz and Blues Festival in Fortaleza, Brazil on February 20, 2015. It is over an hour of upbeat arrangements of jazz and popular classics along with a few originals. The overall feel is on the smooth side of the jazz spectrum with Bacelar taking center stage for most of the melodies. “Birdland”, “gua de Beber”, “Señor Blues” and “Apartheid Blues” are among the best in a warm set with lots of variety.
