O’s Notes: Brazilian bassist Cioglia produced, arranged and composed this masterful suite of ten songs. His fellow musicians are John Ellis (sax, fl, cl), Mike Moreno (g), Stefon Harris (vibes, marimba), Antonio Sanchez (d) and Aaron Goldberg (p). They perform wonderfully as a well-orchestrated team. The vibe is energetic with Latin beats and solid traditional jazz underpinnings. Leonardo does an excellent job with this work on tunes like the rousing “Pontos Cardeais” and the beautiful tones of “Desfiladeiro De Nuvens”.
