O’s Notes: Charlie Dennard plays all keyboards, Hammond and accordion, assembled a fine group of musicians, arranged and produced all of the music on From Brazil to New Orleans. The journey is quite an enjoyable jazz experience. From the bouncy, brassy march of “Quando O Galo Cantar” to the cool blues of “Valsa Luisiana ” the soothing ballad “Senhorinha” and the refreshing vocals on “Ganga Zumbi” this set is enjoyable end to end!
