O’s Notes: This is a series of duets between pianist André Mehmari and Hamilton De Holanda on 10-string mandolin focused on the music of Egberto and Hermeto. The music is soft and imparts a rich sea of tranquility making it suitable for easy relaxing listening. The pace accelerates, as there are many fleeting cat and mouse exchanges. The two musicians are very complimentary both with their notations and dynamics resulting in a beautiful canvas with deep textures.
