O’s Notes: Not many trumpet players please their listeners as much as Enrico with his warm tones. The notes are buttery smooth. This is a live session recorded at several venues during 2002. The band is a sextet including John Abercrombie (g) and Stefano Bollani (p) but featuring the headliner. Rava stands out using techniques that are electrifying. The six selections are well devoloped and include the opening “Tango For Vasquez Y Pepita”, a couple of sedutive ballads written by Rava, an excellent cover of “Nature Boy” and the swinging “Dear Old Stockholm”.
