O’s Notes: Ray is a traditional Latin percussionist who revisits the classic Latin dance beats on The New Space Station. He puts together a nice set of Latin jazz songs like “TBA” featuring drummer Bill Elder. It has the make-you-wanna-dance beats! Other highlights are “African Holiday”, “Mantilla’s Jam Too” and the solid rhythms of “Eight Ball”. There are ten songs in total but Ray’s originals stand out.
