O’s Notes: It was surprising to see an Asian woman breathing life into these Brazilian classics but Ito does a fine job. She sings in English and Brazilian Portuguese to perfection. Her tone is melodic with excellent support from her band including Itaiguara Brandão (g, b), Oriente Lopez (p, fl), Café (perc) and Davi Vieira (perc). The recording quality is pristine as well making this a pleasure to listen to. “Garot De Ipanema”, “Magamalabares” and “çgua De Beber” were among the best.
