O’s Notes: These compositions are written for a large ensemble and provide a symphonic experience. Latin rhythms, African chants and percussion are combined to make appealing syncopated beats. The music is fortified with the addition of guest artists Claudio Acuna (vocals), Regina Carter (violin), Brian Blade (d) and John Pattucci (b). A nice reflection of the roots of jazz.
