O’s Notes: These two musicians are enthusiastic connoisseurs of their instruments; both are unique on today’s jazz scene. Mike plays the mandolin and Hamilton plays the bandolin. They race through the notes capturing all of the nuances along the way on fourteen songs both classis and originals. There is also a DVD with a portion of their live performance at the Savannah Music Festival during March 2006. The music is a combination of Appalachian bluegrass with Brazilian choro. They have a ball performing it and the energy is resounding.
