O’s Notes: These Brazilian tunes hit the full spectrum including vocals and instrumentals. Peter’s (t) trio is Thomas Dürst (b) and Markus Stalder (g). Guest vocalist Ithamara Koorax sings in both English and Portuguese. She is convincing on “Love For Sale”. The bossa nova rhythms are classic. The blending of SchŠrli’s trumpet with Koorax on “Vocalise” is beautiful. It’s a rich collection.
