O’s Notes: Trumpeter Mike Rodriguez and pianist Robert Rodriguez are Reunited in a live recording at Dizzy’s Club. Ricky Rodriguez, unrelated (b), Anthony Almonte (perc), and Adam Cruz (d) round out an energetic quintet. While they’ve performed with many different artists over the last two decades, the brothers are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a unit with this recording, and it is noteworthy! Among the best songs are the warm “Lulu’s Song”, “Love Samba”, and “Minor Things”.
