O’s Notes: Latin jazz harpist Edmar Castañeda leads a nonet, his World Ensemble for Viento Sur. His wife, Colombian vocalist Andrea Tierra softens the mood on several selections, notably “Raza” and “Piedra y Camino”, with fine sax accompaniment by Felipe Lamoglia and trombonist Ryan Reberle. We also enjoyed “Arpaquito”, and “La Vie en Chande” with vibrant solos from Gregoire Maret (harmonica), Itai Kriss (fl), Reberle, Helio Alves (p), Rodrigo Villalón (d), and Marcelo Woloski (perc).
