O’s Notes: This is an energetic session featuring co-leaders Curt Ramm (t), Dan Moretti (sax) and Bill Cunliffe (p, B3). Marty Ballou plays bass and Marty Richards keeps time. The leaders merged their musical minds to compose eleven new tunes. The groove on “Goin Nowhere Fast” caught our attention and then Cunliffe fired up the B3 to put a funky twist on “MM&D”. We also liked the mid-tempo vibe of “Tired Corn”. Curt Dan and Bill exhibit a keen sense of swing throughout the set.
