O’s Notes: Bob (t, flugelhorn) seeks to make this recording an everlasting romantic affair for listeners. He engages a talented team of musicians that are assembled in different ensembles that make his arrangements click. Bassist Rufus Reid, Jim McNeely (p), Phil Woods (sax) and Ron Perils (p) are a few of the stars. The program includes a few originals, a couple of tunes by Woods and some tried and true standards. You’ll be mesmerized by “Goodbye Mr. Evans” and “Winter’s Touch”. We also enjoyed “All of You” with excellent work by McNelly and Reid. This is another fine effort form Lark.
