O’s Notes: Guitarist Torben Waldorff teams up with Gary Versace (p, organ), Matt Clohesy (b) and Jon Wilkan (d) to record nine new original jazz-fusion selections. Torben’s melodies are fluid on “Fat#2” with rich tone that lingers on the pallet. We also enjoyed the mellow groove of “Poolside” with a laid back cool character imparted by Versace playing the organ. He switches to the Rhodes for “Evac” and they back to piano on “Cutoff” providing different feels and a stage for Waldorff, Clohesy &Wilkan to shine. Wah-Wah is solid all the way around.
