O’s Notes: Guitarist and composer Albare leads his quartet on a rather strong session that features the title track as bookends. Albare wrote all of the compositions with help from pianist Phil Turcio on six selections. Yunior Terry plays bass with Pablo Bencid on drums anchoring the lower end. “New Signs”, “The Gift” and “Heart of Heart” are among the best of the lot along with “Overjoyed” featuring Vocalist Allan Harris. If they stick to this formula The Road Ahead will be pleasant indeed!
