O’s Notes: Drummer Peter Erskine leads a trio with bassist Damian Erskine and Vardan Ovespian on keyboards. “Labyrinth” has a solid dose of funk in contrast with the peaceful passion on “Distant Blue”. The latter is the dominant theme of the session.“In Praise Of Shadows“is soothing music with occasional spikes of energy.
