O’s Notes: Everybody Say Yeah! is a celebration of veteran, Chicago-based, jazz/blues guitarist, composer George’s Freeman’s best work on Southport Records. It includes “Perfume”, a new guitar duet with Mike Allemana, and two previously unreleased selections, “Manteca” and “Summertime”, the latter featuring vocalist, producer Joanie Pallatto. Eldee Young’s walking bass compliments Freeman’s blues guitar on “George Burns!”. Tenor saxophonist Von Freeman joins the party on “Vonski”. This is a captivating sampling of Freeman’s work.
