O’s Notes: Mahogany Frog is a Canadian progressive rock quartet featuring Graham Epp (g, keyboards, electronics, t), Jesse Warkentin (g, keyboards, electronics), Scott Ellenberger (b, synthesizers) and Andy Rudolph (d, synthesizers, sampling). Faust is their newly created accompaniment to the German silent film of the same name. There’s a trip to the carnival on “Plague1” and several eerie tunes. They recorded the session live in 2017 at four Canadian venues from October 27 to November 2. The film would certainly add another dimension.
