O’s Notes: Drummer Bruford’s Earthworks is a solid band with several releases under their belts. This is perhaps the best of the bunch! The crew is Steve Hamilton (p), Mark Hodgson (b) and Bill along with featured artist Tim Garland (sax, fl, and cl). This is a high-energy session. Bruford and Garland compose most of the tunes. It is an exceptional set. We especially like songs like “Speaking with Wooden Tongues” which was very dynamic and included tempo changes. This is just one of many that will get your blood pumping.
