O’s Notes: David’s work on piano is understated yet full of complexities. He wrote nine of the ten compositions, all creative new thoughts displaying his spontaneous playful spirits. The support from his accompaniment, Nasheet Waits (d), Dick Oatts (sax) and Ugonna Okegwo (b) complements him well. They each get the opportunity to shine as on “Triceratops”. The music moves while being non-intrusive and relaxing.
