O’s Notes: Like a lot of the music from Brazil, this has refreshing bossa nova beats. But this release is also embellished with strings. It’s a live set from a 1999 European Tour featuring leader, guitarist Gui Mallon. He shares the melodies with many of the large ensemble but really shines on the “Brasil, Brazil Suite”. We found the music to put us in touch with natural sounds. It is rejuvenating.
