O’s Notes: A cool funky groove is established immediately on “LFO” with silky smooth guitar melodies from Mark Whitfield. That groove is sustained all the way through. Marks’s influence is strong, also on “Angel” but he’s not alone as Vernon leads the effort and adds some decent licks on guitar as well. “Afternoon Drive” and “Don’t You Cry”. Vince Hall adds warm vocals on “Unconditional Love”, a nice additional to the mostly instrumental set and they wrap with the strong beats of “Lumi’s Song”.
