O’s Notes: This one pairs Roy with Rick James. The super hit on this union is “Running Away” a timeless R&B classic. But with super freak star Rick James adding his spices on songs like “More Than You Know” and “Poo Poo La La”, it takes on another dimension. The results are a tempered Rick or freaky Roy. Either way, it’s a winner for fans of contemporary jazz or funk! Jamming in the studio, they were feeling it; and even today, it feels good.
