O’s Notes: Cuban drummer, Dafnis Prieto has been influenced by European, African and Caribbean music styles. He has incorporated them all into his style of jazz-fusion. The instrumentation on the session includes strings, the Hammond B3 and sax, a combination that births fresh new sound into his signature. We liked the calypso beats of “Renew The Elephant” and “Afrotango”.
