O’s Notes: Guitarist Alan Morse plays hard driving upbeat jazz-fusion. The first two tracks are packed with energy before he relaxes with “Drive In Shuffle”, a mid-tempo tune with a country pop twist. “R Blaz” is a bluesy ballad, a cool change of pace. The tempo may slow down but Morse plays the featured melodies all the way through. He plays with intensity on “The Rite Of Left” and with a relaxed passion on “Track 3”. This diversity makes whatever he plays palatable. “First Funk” and “Spanish Steppes” were our favorites.
