O’s Notes: Paula is a jazz singer with a country bent. She collaborates with guitarist Lou Bartolomucci to compose ten of the thirteen tracks on her debut recording. She sings about her own life experiences in a variety of styles. We liked the rousing blues on “Were You Cryin'” contrasting with the Latin spirit of “Cafe Rapsodia” and “Time To Tango”. You can here her theatrical training on tunes like “You Make Me Feel So Young”. We were intrigued by the retro groove of “Fly Boy” but liked the happy-go-lucky “Jazzin’ In Me” best of all.
