O’s Notes: Composer Marc Copland was born in Philly where he took piano lessons as a child but switched to sax when he was 10 years old! He played heavily on the New York Jazz-Fusion circuit during the late 1960s before switching back to the piano in 1973. He mastered the keys and has had a bit of resurgence in the last decade in various formats.“Gary“is a solo piano depiction of life with adventure, mystery and intriguing encounters. Copeland’s work is reflective and suitable for meditation or background listening.
