O’s Notes: Steve is the master of ‘the Chapman Stick’, a unique strung electronic instrument. He adds a wealth of supporting guitarists to his band including Chieli Minucci and Dean Brown. They play a mix of originals and covers. We liked their arrangement of Wonder’s “I Wish”. The session is varied with pop, funk and some R&B. They also play some blues with “‘Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers” and swing on “Sun Down”. A good set.
