O’s Notes: Ben Wendel plays tenor & soprano sax, bassoon and EFX. He arranged and produced All One, six selections, both vocal and instrumental, compiled from home studio recordings around the world, during the pandemic. They open with a stirring rendition of “I Loves You Porgy” featuring Cécile Mclorin Salvant (vocals). Next up is “Wanderers” featuring Terence Blanchard (t) nestled among the layered brass. We also enjoyed “Tenderly” featuring José James (vocals).
