O’s Notes: This duo, Eddie on bass and Mark on piano paint a musical landscape full of rich tones. We were particularly drawn in by the wide range of dynamics and Gomez’ timely use of the bow to create the mood. What we hear is a symphony for two. The dozen songs are all classics rearranged by the pair to suit their strengths. “Moment to Moment”, “Chances Are” and “Smile” are our favorites. This one works well as pleasing background music or for serious listening sessions.
