O’s Notes: Chris plays guitar, sings and leads a fusion band playing a mix of originals and recreated covers. They open with a transformation of Ellington’s “Caravan” that feels pretty good before easing into the blues of the first vocal on the title track. We also enjoyed “The Man With No Arms”, the second vocal track. Chris also speaks with his guitar on “Aarrgh” with a fine solo from Woody Witt (sax) and again on “Invitation” with special guest Warren Sneed (sax). There is a cool Southwestern groove that weaves its way through each track making this session sizzle.
