O’s Notes: Sahin plays guitar with a wide array of electronics leading a quartet to perform his latest array of compositions. John O’Gallagher (sax), Tyshawn Sorey (d) and Thomas Morgan (b) join him on this fusion adventure. The path is hectic on the opener, a free form jam that provokes the listener but they settle down on “I Know How The Live Like Stars” relaxing the pace as well as the attack. The pace increases with blistering exchanges but without the chaos on “It’s Time” and the funky title track. Timuin displays prowess on guitar and creative writing genius that begs attention.
