O’s Notes: Donny McCaslin plays tenor sax and leads a band with Jason Lindner on keyboards, Tim Lefebvre delivering punchy bass lines with Mark Guiliana on drums. These guys are really tight. Producer David Binney adds vocals and additional synthesizers. McCaslin composes the bulk of the music and it is crisp! “Says Who” is as syncopated and funky to the extreme as is our favorite, “Henry”. Even the ballads are in your face making Casting For Gravity an aggressive, happening session.
