O’s Notes: We don’t ordinarily associate Knoxville with jazz but the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra is a powerful large ensemble with a lot to say. They perform a dozen newly arranged Holiday classics by conductor and producer Vance Thompson (t). Greg Tardy (tenor sax), Dan Trudell (B3) and Tim Green (alto sax) are among the talented musicians who make this one special. They really swing! There are also a couple of vocal tracks notably “Children Go Where I Send Thee” incorporating a full choir.
