O’s Notes: The title track sets the stage: big band, crooning and a romping good time. Dooks is up to the task taking us through a variety of tunes with pizzazz. He wrote and arranged most of them himself and does a fine job on the piano and guitar as well. C. Mitchell (sax) shadows Dooks on “What Does Your Heart Say” while J. Goodspeed (sax) is featured on the bossa nova beats of “The Smile On Your Face”. They slow down the pace for “In My Dreams” before playing the brassy arrangement of “My Attorney Bernie”. They wrap up a very entertaining set with “It’s called The Blues”.
