O’s Notes: Torcuato was born in Argentina, grew up in Brazil and migrated to the US as a musician. His music shows influences from all of these countries while having a strong Brazilian basis. It is relaxed Latin contemporary jazz highlighted by his well-articulated guitar melodies. Mariano is surrounded with two groups of excellent Brazilian musicians including Paulinho Loureiro and Marcela Biasi who provide shadowing vocals on a couple of tracks. Diary is fresh and easy to enjoy without being overly simple and redundant.
