O’s Notes: This Seattle-based quartet features drummer Tarik Abouzied, Art Brown on sax, bassist Tim Carey and Aaron Otheim playing keyboards. They recorded the session live with no dubbing feeding off of each other’s vibe. The five selections are their take on collective improvisation. The interaction between the group are well integrated giving Do It Live more structure than classic free jazz while evoking total creativity.
