O’s Notes: Laszlo was born in Budapest and now resides in Boston as he has since 1983. His piano playing is forward yet not overly aggressive. This live session was recorded in Boston’s WGBH studio for the “Eric In the Evening” program. Gardony wrote all of the songs except three newly arranged classics: “Satin Doll”, “Stella by Starlight” and “Giant Steps”. The music flows nicely with all of the spontaneity of a live session. It’s modern jazz that moves!
